Devon Reehl - Drums

Known as D, Reehltime, and a host of other aliases, Devon is one of the founding members of Revision. He started playing drums at age 4, rocking out on oatmeal boxes and a hard plastic Smurf set with absolutely no tonal quality. While his equipment has changed over the years, his passion for the instrument has not.

Life on the road started early for Devon, when his parents toured the country as New Vaudeville actors, producers, and directors for over 30 years. At age two, he briefly appeared on The Today Show sucking his hand in an interview highlighting his parents' work. It's a brief moment of celebrity he hopes Revision will overshadow someday.

Devon studied and played jazz throughout high school and college, drawing on the music of funky groups such as Soulive, The Meters, John Scofield, and Lettuce. This fall he was featured in the September/October issue of DRUM magazine in a section highlighting jam band drummers. He's destined to prove that a white boy from Maine can have as much rhythm as anyone else. He FULLY appreciates the playing of drummers such as Adam Deitch, Alan Evans, Carter Beauford and Questlove. If he could play any other instrument it would be the B3 organ, because in his opinion, there is no sound as unique.

Aside from music Devon's all about the outdoors. He is a graduate of NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) and is a part time sea kayaking and backpacking instructor. He has also developed a love for graphic design and heads up the advertising/design department at Revision HQ. Devon recently graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in Organizational Communications.

Devon also does freelance graphic design, both for the web and print. If you're interested in his services, you can email him here for more info.
